Need photos of the case / chamfers / crown guards in order to judge if it’s good, and the price in order to judge if it’s worth it.

That is indeed an MK5 which is appropriate for a 5.2M serial. Plots on MK5s are usually puffy and slightly larger than other references, which is the case with this dial.

Here is a great site for future reference

    Thanks.

The watch is missing the crown and stem, and like I said it needs a new crystal. The movement itself does however appear to be in good condition and running.
It comes on a 62510h bracelet with 550 end links - strtched but not too badly

So, let’s start with the good. The dial and hands look to be in good condition. You’ll need to get macros of the dial to see if there are any blemishes.

The bad, the case has been polished extremely poorly. The top of the lugs are shiny, you don’t see any of the nice brush finish. Ans the crown guards have been rounded to oblivion.

The insert is also not that desirable but luckily, it’s an easy fix as it can be replaced.

Unless it’s priced attractively, this would be a very hard pass for me.

That’s not a bad price. How about the crown? The tube has a lot of grime on it as does the caseback. You should budget for a service ($500-900.)

The crown and stem are missing so it will need those.

    I agree with you.

Also would check the dial carefully with better pics to make sure it has not been relumed (do the UV test).

Price is low because the watch is not interesting...

    Will do, thanks.
Is £6000 / $8200 ok then with the bracelet?

Bracelet is not appropriate for GMT, it's the cheaper cousin made for Datejusts. However, the endlinks are made to fit GMTs. Look, the watch has issues for sure. You're going to spend easily 500-1,000 in servicing the watch to get it all sorted. If you want the case refinished, it will easily cost you $1,500. And to put a pepsi (if you choose to) will be an add'l $1.5K. So, it all adds up.

If you're looking for a beater GMT, this is a great entry point. Service it and wear the shit out of it. Heck, wear it when you mow the lawn. But, understand that this will never appreciate in value and most likely remain as-is for a long period of time. If you're good with that, then you should have your answer.

You can get it serviced and wear it as is, which would be fine. It could also be restored quite nice IMO, but that would cost at least $4k for case restoration, Pepsi bezel, correct bracelet, etc.

    The bracelet
    Too much.

I would like to see higher resolution pics of the bracelet specially the clasp. End links are ok.

If you like the watch to wear it like this is fine. The choice is personal. If you think to start from this point and make a nice 1675 forget because is impossible. No way.

    Ciao

    Watch is legit.

Price is ok for a cheap example.

Yes, the watch is legit. I bought it off a dealer who got it off the original buyer.
I had to make a quick decision so went for it on the basis I coudn't see anything whatever the condition for £6000...

I think you did ok. It won't feel "cheap" after you sink a couple of grand into servicing and bracelet repair (and waiting many weeks). But you'll have a nice, wearable watch. Post pics of before and after the work is done. And if you need introductions to a good watchmaker that specializes in vintage Rolex, let us know.
