It's finally stopped, 64.5 hrs in total, thanks for all the advice on here, certainly better than the OB store.
That's right on spec so you are good to go. The winding tightness should lessen a little with use.

The OB guy wasn't properly trained on manual watches and he fell into the idea that you shouldn't wind them once resistance is felt. But they are designed to be wound until the crown won't turn anymore. Glad we solved your 'problem'.

I've owned a (2013) Speedy 9300 for past 3 years, and its been a good watch now decided to get an 1863 sapphire sandwich as it'll be my only watch and I'm retired now. My reason for switching was the link back to moonwatch and easier to maintain......and I have more time on my hands (sorry hahaa) to wind the watch. The new steel strap means nothing as I much prefer a leather strap and deployant.
But I do love the Speedy, it's very easy to read and great in the dark too.
