Three things with this:
1/ The automatic winding will not function correctly.
2/ The oscillating weight will not be running true so it will cause wear on the bushes in which it runs.
3/ The rubbing will wear away the metal of both the oscillating weight and the case back.

The only place the debris can go is into the movement so who knows what other damage this could cause?
but i realised in many examples i've seen online, it seems like a common problem just to different degrees of severity, even the one from mentawatches also has slight rubbing on the edges of the rotor

Lume appears less than ideal looking for starters.

Exactly, lume is not clean. + crown is replacement + chrono hour hand do not match with the other 2 sub register hands.

In the end, that makes a lot of wrong stuff for 24k usd... Well, if It is the price now...

Sorry, but the hands in the hour subs are allways shorter to the extend that the subdials are overlapping. Otherwise they could touch eachother and cause damage.
Best regards and thanks for the nice discussion !

Of course but I meant hand's width, not length.

Thin hands were supposed to be fitted on mk1 and thick hands on mk2/3. At least all 3 should be the same

I am a bit confused now, I thought you meant the one josephgsy posted and not the one sold by mentawatches.

Yes, Sir ! For your Entertainment or further value discussions my beautiful A386 MK1 (538Dxxx). The watch was originally delivered to Austria and I had the opportunity to acquire it from a close watch friend

Wow so many amazing pieces! A386 is a grale that I think I will never own, but I also like my A384 with tropical subdials.

Sorry but what did you guys think of value on these - 5k usd in ok condition?

I don鈥檛 know the right value of the early El Primero, but I think they are fantastic and probably very undervalued

Well back to the subject. Look at Christies, Sothebys, Phillips for results of what these pieces sold for it will cover a 5-10 year period. Ebay is not a good judge for expensive watches. As for the pictures it is not a requirement to show pictures on the forum. Few come available because other collectors think they are more valuable also and tend to feel it is not worth selling at this level.

Price has a lot to do with condition along with things such as: does it come with box and paper work, GF ladder bracelet, has it been recently serviced etc..

For what it's worth here is my opinion, assuming that the watch is in great condition, recently serviced and comes with GF ladder bracelet.

A3817 and A3818 are going to be in the range of $13-$15k. Mathew Bain recently sold 2 really nice A3817 examples and their list price was in this range.
A386 as far as I'm aware are going for $15-$18k
A384 and A385 are some place around $6k

Again this is just my opinion based on what I've seen lately. Others may want to weigh in.

I think Zuke is right on, other than I think that the uber rare A3818 will be priced higher, especially in good condition.
