I am from a rural town in Canada and have no easy way to know anything about its age(I suspect the 1920’s)or value as I can’t find anything similar online. Anyone have any thoughts about it age or rarity? Is it worth it to take with me next time I’m in an urban centre to get it properly appraised or should I just enjoy it for its family history and craftsmanship?

Any thoughts?

Welcome

Nice heirloom

To help you, we need good hi-rez pictures of the movement(rarity) and inside the case back(Hallmarks for metal content).

Most of us will say, enjoy a nice heirloom and document all information about who owned it and when, plus, how he used it.

Then pass that info with the watch as necessary.

Chain is fantastic, too

Thanks for your insights, I added some new images that may help get me better details.

14kt gold case and probably chain.......where the value lies.

Movement is quality but common middle of the road, but with the swan-neck micro regulator, can be adjusted to great accuracy given time and inclination to pay for it.

Dial uncommon and possibly gold, as possibly the markers and hands, too.

A very nice heirloom to pass on down.
