·Hello All!
I purchased the watch late May of this year and the watch had an issue from the factory with its crystal not being set correctly. Issue was fixed and OB was a great experience. Received the watch yesterday! Bought some omega NATO straps to go with it and fast forward to this morning. I had made myself a nice pot of coffee and was sitting outside. I had my watch on a tray and decided to put it on and just look at it as I’ve only had it in hand for a couple weeks out of the months I’ve owned it. The watch fell off my wrist into the concrete about 2.5’ tops. In my lanai… (Like a porch etc.) I feel incredibly stupid and yelled the word F**K louder than your probably ever heard.
Crystal, Bezel, and 95% of the vase remained unscathed. The edges of the lugs and case back sides have very small scuffs. But the movement stopped. I assumed it would be best to just pull the crown out all of the way to assure myself that nothing else would become damaged.
I will attach photos of the damage as well.
I have seen online that Omegas policies have updated saying that some wear and tear as well as. Accidental drops may be covered depending on the situation and specifics. Is that true?
If so, how should I approach this?
