What do you guys think of this tri-compax? It's getting a lot of action, 38 bids at this point and still a couple days to go. That crystal is standing really, really proud...I know it's just a crystal either way, but is that correct?

There are a few issues with this one.. The dial is not original, it has been redialed. Also the sub-seconds hand and the crown are not original.

 

As x3no said, there are a lot of issues. If you're asking for yourself, save the time and just go pencil down.

Is anyone pitching for this one? I'm going in and out of being tempted, but decided to hold out for one with the engraving still visible on the caseback and a cleaner movement. Still, the dial looks pretty good, so I'm sure it's a good buy.

I've always considered it something of a bonus with an original trapezoid crystal on it Plus I'm not really sure I would even prefer it.

 

I personally like how the window highlights this watch's funky fonts. But that's just me. Take note that this example has a chip / dent on the lower part of the case (right after 6).

 

I love the fonts on the polerouters. Half of my love for them stems from the fonts Wouldn't it be wonderful if a huge NOS stash of crystals with trapezoid magnifiers were found?

 

This uni-compax looks like it's been well used, but the case looks crisp and the patina on the hands/indices is really attractive. I think the crown looks right, but it's not sitting flush against the case...maybe it's just pulled out to the set position? What's the consensus on this one? Is that price really high?

Looks like a redial. The minute markers are inconsistent (i.e 5s, 3s). The subdial hands are also inconsistent from each other.
