nice example!

i agree that 22283 and 222100 have different market price. but for me, an older model normally is more hard to keep in good condition. its just my personal opinion, thats why i said "i would pay 6-7k" instead of "you should pay only 6-7k".

about the red flaked hand. yes flaked paint is normal, i also see on my collections. but problem is the base color of metal should not be gold. the purpose of gold plating or painting is same ---- to prevent corrosion and make it looks good. no point to waste money to apply both of them together. the hands looks like from some other gold capped watch like excelsior park, zenith, ect, and repaint by watchmaker. i have that kind of hands also.

but, in general, as i said, the hand is similar enough. no need to care too much on it. unless u are a bit OCD like me😉

There are some good other threads about the 222100 on here I have read a few times so I am getting more familiar with the subtle differences. The average price seems to have increased in the last 2 years from $10k to $12k+ for a relatively nice condition one. Visually the dials on the good condition watches really look dramatically nicer. Thank you all. Will keep hunting.

I really like that watch. If I were buying, I'd ask for 1 more picture with the hour hand in a different place. Movement does look a tad bit tired, but hey, it was worn.
Lovely watch, dial has aged but that adds to allure of this wonderful early 60's 222100-2 reference with original hands and dial. IMHO, You would be extremely lucky to find it at $9-10K ...

The rare lesser spotted Icpotor movement here... https://ebay.us/m/vzABk6

is it possible someone treated that photo with AI and it garbled the text? I thought we saw some other example of that on OF recently but can't recall which thread?
it's hard to imagine someone actually printed the dial like that.
although it sounds like the seller has the dial in hand......I don't know.
madness.

Would never leave the factory printed like that, and hard to explain a redial with such errors ?

Something wrong/suspicious about this watch? a part from it being from Philippines.
Reference matches but never saw another triple calendar example with the reference inside the case back.

Thanks for feedback.

Thank you for checking/feedback.

It went for cheap yesterday only 1 bid roughly 700 EUR. It would up around 850 EUR after customs. I ended up not bidding for it as i wasn’t so attracted to the case/dial at the end.

I’ve collected for over 45 years, that is a very nice example and for that price is a good value. My example I posted is double that price !
Regards

Not surprised to see that early calendar get posted up here, just one sole bid - shucks. Seems like it would go for more than that figure if I were looking to acquire one.

Thanks for sharing the ribbon lug’d beauty!
