Nice collection of parts, impossible to say if they all started out together. Regardless, very attractive. (I also find the hand lume pretty odd).

This is a NOS set of cal 281 hands I bought at one point, but didn’t end using, just to compare.

Now that you mention it, yes those hands do look "treated". No mention of that in the original posting.

Also, if this is indeed service dial, then that's one hell of a knockout asking price. It seems, unlike vintage Rolex, service dials, from what I have observed anecdotally, don't affect the price of a Tri-compax as severely, probably owing to their rarity and the fact that non-service conditions on these are usually rather hammered.

The for sale posting implies it is original dial. My guess is they haven’t dug through that long thread on here that explains this dial (or they are being dishonest).

ETA - also clearly needs a service given hour counter is showing chrono creep

As per the movement shot, it’s not looking NOS, but not sure that matters much compared to the rest.

Not sure if this is a good deal ? But posting here in case it is !
I'd want to see inside the case back and the movement. Hands and dial look great but the case is bothering me for some reason. Very low price....

Quite certainly cobbled together. I recall this case being sold for 575€ out of Switzerland last year.

Yeah I thought it was probably cheap, but as it’s still sitting there perhaps not ! Maybe it has issues as you say.

16150 USD to be exact, assuming it wasn't negotiated down, which seems unlikely given how quickly it sold.

I had some time to kill so went snooping around the Goldammer site and lo and behold - 2 years ago (June 2023 to be precise) they sold another 22250, also in "NOS condition" with a similar, near identical "protective paint" at the back.

Initially, I thought it was the exact same watch just resold now with a more age appropriate moon face dial indicator, but the serial no is just slightly different (1154852 in June 2023 vs 1154816), which is uncanny.

The dial has the same hallmarks of a later 60's service dial (I did my homework and read the other thread of Tri-compax dials, again last evening...) and also came with a box. I give them full marks for transparency because they keep the prices of the watches they sell on their site intact and 2 years ago the watch they sold was listed for USD 13,835.

Full listing here.

not surprising. I guess that kind of thing is good fit for a certain kind of buyer. These hands look like original lume. But I prefer the newer example with the smiling moonphase disc.

Someone has done a nice job putting it together. The case “only” of the same watch was for sale on Chrono24 a few years ago. Picture here:
