Pulling out the crown resets second hand to zero and it stays there until crown is pushed back in.

Live pics of the 2 UGs.

Quite the pair, hope they stay as a pair! 😀

According to the seller:’Very rare dial. I have never seen one with Arabic numerals, a seconds hand and a chapter ring before’.

I think I know why that is but according to one of the local traders (specialised in Rolex and other instalike generating stuff) here the dial is original. So give me your opinions….

I know next to nothing about UG but I can’t believe that arabic dial is original. Look at the inconsistency in the minute track

Thoughts on this "unique" UG "pre-polerouter"? Original dial or, as I suspect, redone...

Seller has confirmed there are no serial or reference nos on caseback.

Without a case reference it is impossible to call this a Polerouter (there are Polerouters without the magic word on the dial). The case shape looks to be a very similar profile to early Polar/Polerouters (e.g. SAS) and I also have a Monodatic that has the very same pleasing lug side-profile. There are plenty of 138 calibre UGs which are not Polerouters - this may be one of them or it could be a movement+dial transplant into an early Polerouter case.

I was outbid on this but wanted to share a lovely tri. Appears to be in amazing condition aside from the drilled lugs (maybe these were original but I assume not).

The realized price isn't available yet. I stopped paying attention when it reached $9k + 15% buyer's premium.
A quick update and picture from my trusted friend @bgrisso who received the watch for me in the USA! The watch looks stunning; almost all the scratches seem to be on the plexi. I can’t wait to receive it! 😉

PS, sorry everyone, forgot to mention that this one isn't on eBay. Not sure if it's then wrong to post here. If so, I'm sorry. I'm new to the forum.

Actually makes the most sense to start a new thread. These ebay threads (there are a few of them on the site) are more about identifying watches to other members. If you want help reviewing a watch better to start your own thread. Also, would suggest putting some of your own analysis in the post.
