I own this gold plated tank with shield logo and according to the site, the 1198505 serial would be dated 1945. The salmon dial is a real treat but hard to capture in all its glory. The watch is also hard to photograph. To the eye it’s a pink gold tone but depending on the light, my camera either sees it as yellow tone or just silver.

so the reason I ask is that the case back is stamped 7045. I have a couple of 1937 Zenith/Universal Geneve catalogues with reference numbers are 10xx and 20xx. I’m assuming of course that these reference numbers are linear. That said, more assumption here, that reference 7045 would be after 1937.
