Maybe we should open a thread on easy flips. This is a nice one: from CHF 1.300 - sold at Jan 17 - to EUR 3.490 https://www.ricardo.ch/de/a/rare!-petit-chrono-universal-26mm-or-18k-1154345072/ https://www.lorologiese.com/en/comp...m-18kt-red-gold-mini-chronograph-cal-289.html
Nice HPC on Chrono24: https://www.chrono24.nl/universalge...-18kt-hpc-spillino-tri-compax--id18393357.htm Too bad about the spotting on the dial
Yep this is the Menta one from last week. It's already spoken for, apparently..... https://omegaforums.net/threads/chronographs-classified-as-chronometres.65996/page-7#post-1710837
What does everyone make of this? https://www.chrono24.com/universalgenve/universal-watch-extra--id18343732.htm
Sorry for not responding sooner - busy week. I've added a couple of images from the listing for the record. I think there were a few issues with this one. I'm not at all sure about the bezel. Notice that the teeth on the bezel and the sides of the bezel are black rather than steel/silver coloured. The bezels on these are often very worn and this one looks like a recent replacement to me as the wear is not consistent with the wear on the case. Could it be a NOS replacement? Perhaps but that silver ring around the outside of the bezel just doesn't look right. So I'm wondering whether it's a modern replacement or perhaps from another brand. It was also missing its original crystal with loupe, had a couple of nasty bumps on the side of the case and the dreaded signs of the rotor rubbing on the inside of the case back. I guess this explains why it sold for around $4000. I suspect a really good one might make twice that much.
Hey guys, I need your opinion about this one! I am ready to purchase this watch, It's not on ebay! The guy doesn't know to much about it and me neither! Cheers!
Crown has been replaced but it otherwise looks to be correct. Less common 'Swiss Made T' text but I think it's ok. Polerouter reference guide here - I'll leave you the pleasure of finding it https://universalgenevepolerouter.com/galleries/
I think I would have pounced on this if it had been 34mm without the crown. Just for the novelty value. https://www.ebay.es/itm/133667597433?ul_noapp=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Kardex were a Universal-owned brand though I'll concede that I've never really understood what they were supposed to bring to the party. http://www.mikrolisk.de/show.php?si...hMode=exact&searchWhere=trademark#sucheMarker It would be fun at 34mm on a tropic strap, at 32 I'm not so sure.
Optimistic vendor of Railrouter. https://www.ebay.com/i/254764576285?ul_noapp=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Not expensive but a bit scruffy and tired. Crown is a replacement. Date disc looks dirty. Movement looks a bit tired too with signs of rotor wear.
Great to have a box and papers, which do appear to match the watch. The crown is in bad shape and has the later fat U logo (I assume it's a later replacement but couldn't be absolutely certain). Replacement gold UG crowns are near impossible to find, so that is something to bear in mind. I'm not sure about your unpolished comment. To me, it looks like the case has had a light polish as there is a shine that would not be there otherwise and some of the light surface scratches have been softened. This is completely normal though; I think it would be very unusual to find a gold watch that had not been polished at all.
I try to avoid commenting on price too often as I sell a fair few Polerouters myself and it doesn't seem very fair. Also people in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones . . . I'm sure others can help.
