I think we've seen these before. A search on Mervos will bring up the threads.
Hello, yeah it’s the first time I’ve ever seen one of these. Thank for the suggestion it’s a pretty interesting read Crazy they did a collaboration with Breitling.

Hello UG group! I'm a complete newbie and I need a little (a lot) of help with my first purchase.. right off the bat, does this look legitimate? I was trying to use the gallery reference guide but I'm full of doubt..

This is not meant to be as condescending as it perhaps sounds on a reread but if you're relatively new to Polerouters then if you find something that is not exactly the same in every detail as the example on the reference website, then I would suggest walking away as it is almost certainly wrong.

Always ask the seller for the reference. If there is no reference, walk away. If it's not the same as the example on the reference website for that reference, walk away.

There are plenty of new references still to find that are not yet on the reference website but those are far more dangerous waters as you need to be able to filter out the redials (as this one is) and the frankens in order to find the undiscovered gems.

It looks to be a redialed 204604-5.
Use "204604" as a search term from the main page search box and it will lead you to the galleries for it:
www.UniversalGenevePolerouter.com
If the reference and serial numbers are still visible they will be together around the outside edge of the caseback.

As far as I can tell inquiries are allowed on this thread (unlike the vintage Omega thread). I would be curious on what the pros think about this UG RR watch. I am probably not in the market, so feel free to snipe it. I would to learn more about these. Is this an authentic example? It looks to have see a bit of polishing, but otherwise quite nice from my naive perspective. Also, I am curious about thoughts on the price

I don't think they are very common, and it seems the price was good.

I don't think they are rare at all - one comes up on Ebay every couple of days and you just need to be patient to snag a good 'un for a reasonable price (which in my view is around the €300 mark or less - I think I paid €70 for mine, not that long ago). I know that the Italian postal service gets a bad press but it's not a reason to avoid Ebay.it as long as you do your due diligence.

Thanks for the info. I love the dial on these. Good to know what a fair price is.

My FS from earlier this morning. I agree that the various versions can and do pop up on eBay and elsewhere with some regularity (this MK1 variation is the least common...), although I’d suggest that the days of finding them for €70-€300 are clearly behind us. Most seem to be selling quickly in the US $500 to $700 range these days, if not a bit more. And still worth every penny in my view - enamel dial!!

i know of 2 mk 2 ones that sold for around 700 euro recently which in my vieuw is too much for a mk 2. MK 3 or 1 maybe. Prices seem to have spiked. I got all three for under 300 a piece so with a little patience they can be had for that price

Always a bit suspicious of these.
I bought from them. Watch was good but courier took a week or so to pick up the watch.
