That strap is way too big for lugs. It has pretty much cause endless damage by making it fit.
Save a cent to spend a dollar comes to mind!

::facepalm1::
Really S..t the bed with the description and the strap here. WTF B&S? They should know better. That said were I still in the market, I’d be looking hard at it. Lovely.

Surely the lug damage came from using a too large metal band previously?

Yea, it looks ready to wear through...

I disagree on the logos.

The rounded U on the scrunched badge (pointy on the bottom) was used on the early Polarouters/Polerouters cal. 138ss.

Also the serial number is quite appropriate for that era--around 1955.

Despite that I'd value that watch at $150 given the condition.

Plenty of near mint examples come up if you watch for a year.

Man... I can’t wait till the Sala book it back in stock so I can know for sure about these things. I’m not to familiar with this model and don’t really know the correctness of it. Thought it didn’t look to bad but jeez thanks guys.

sala will not really help you much with time only, except perhaps to train your eyes a bit on what real dial quality looks like. This dial is junk, but as others have said maybe you can find an original to fit. Keep in mind the chrome case is valued below stainless as well.

To add: Also Sala contains several redials. So it has to be used with caution.

True but not the black and white factory ref shots. The color plates are the issue.

Yeah, I read it mainly focuses on there history an UG chronographs I need to study UG dials and cases in general Though I know it’d help me with avoiding these types of watches. About the polishing of these of these vintage watches I feel like with them being so old it’s really kind of impossible (not completely) to find one that hasn’t been polished at least once.

Not an ebay sale but an interesting watch (that I know nothing about because it's not a Polerouter)

wowzer, that's a real looker, with the dial and case combo, I've never seen it before! That's what I love about UG, new treasures always turning up. The faded hand on the date subdial on the right could be repainted red and should be moved onto the central month subdial. The other two subdial hands are OK I think. Replace the wrong H/M hands with a NOS set of blue leaf hands from ebay ($125), get a better crown, and it will start to really shine. I tend to think the moonphase disc should have a face, I've actually got one for sale up on ebay that I think might fit.

Assume the languages should match between the dial and the day disc.

I would be all over it myself but not really in project mode. Hope someone here grabs it.

The dial reminds me of my similar two tone white dial, although this one is in a larger rose gold spider lugs case....

I honestly can’t remember how my listings are set up, I find eBay a bit confusing in this regard. Sometimes I think I’ve included other areas but ppl in those areas say it’s not showing as shipping there. Anyhow if someone from the forums needs something just dm me, can work it out.

Great polerouter with original GF bracelet ... shame about the dial !

Not sure the bracelet is original to the watch. I'm not sure that any bumper Polerouters were sold with bracelets.

I also think that particular style of brick link bracelet with raised cushion-shaped links is later - you see it more commonly with later Cal 69 Polerouters. The earlier brick link bracelets that you see with early microtor Polerouters and first execution Polerouter Subs had flatter links.

Would be interesting to see the date inside the clasp if someone is in contact with the seller.
