Is this a redial? It thought it looked nice, but then I noticed the 45 and 15 have bled into the subdials. Really cool engraving on this one.

Plating is rubbed all the way through at the tips of the lugs. For me this is always a deal-breaker unless you’re buying for parts.

 

The case back reference is consistent with the case & dial but the crown is definitely not original.

I completely agree with the comments regarding the plating.

I have a related question about the difference between gold capped and gold plated. When looking at the back of a gold capped bumper Polerouter you can clearly see a thin layer of gold wrapped around the lugs. With this watch, the back of the lugs are also covered in gold - is that enough to conclude that the case is gold plated rather than gold capped? I am assuming here that we know that the watch is not solid gold.

 

Thanks guys. I'm an almost total noob here - can you explain what you mean regarding the plating on the tip of the lugs?

 

Can you see all the missing material in this area ? It’s worn all the way through the gold plating and back to the base metal of the case. Extremely unattractive in my opinion.
