Completely correct and original in my opinion but unfortunately the dial is in pretty poor condition.

I think the A in Polarouter appears whiter because the other text around it has faded/disintegrated to a greater extent.

The 1'648'xxx serial is exactly as expected.

Ok thanks. Maybe destiny just wanted to emphasize that it is a polArouter 😉

the 222101/1 I thought was nice and decent price, although the chrono sweep and crown are not correct. Perhaps they could be talked down slightly to $5K and I think it's not a bad deal at all, especially for retail.

This has just popped up - not an expert but it looks nice. What do people think of the price - is it where these are now?

There have been a few 60s steel sport UG chronographs mentioned in this thread lately with crazy BINs. I click ‘Watch’ on every single one of course and they just sit on eBay for eternity.

In answer to you question; perhaps the price is here but the buyers certainly aren’t.

I'm sorry but there are lots of nice V72 watches out there. As much as I love the look, the prices are just crazy.

It is a good looking watch... what would be a reasonable price? About half? I might be tempted to put it in and see if it is accepted...

This vender doesn't offer much discount. Its a full set in stunning condition, where would you find another. As a friend of mine in the antiques trade says, once this item is sold its not like you can ring a supplier and order 4 more.

I'm not a watchmaker.

But is that very worn looking balance cock correct for a Cal 85?

Does the UG engraving look correct on the bridge?

Looks like it is retro engraved. Picture of the genuine article from the web.

Very suspect piece to my eye - there were also a handful of those dials floating around loose (I think there still are)...

Understatement. That movement is a mess and not original to the watch IMO.

The guy wants 42 grand for the watch but can't bring himself to spring for an original bracelet or at least one with round end links?

Brushed off case back, rest looks fine
I read that in the description. By how much would that detract from fair market value?
