Could someone shed Some light on thee originality of this Polerouter, for sale for a hefty price:

In my fairly untrained eye, two things seem off:

The crosshair cut throug lettering in a way that deharmonizes the dial.

The crown seems like a Replacement.

The crosshair looks fine to me. The crown is a replacement. The dial seems damaged by water and i wonder how the movement looks...

Anyway, if it sells at that price then i'm richer than i thought:

I like that they self-reviewed the watch as “5 stars”.

Sounds legit to me...

Film Compax went up - but the dial looks screwed up including a disappeared 16mm scale.

Agreed. Must be yet another semi-prototype 😉
The early Tri Cases had protruding pushers...The "Tricompax" is correct but not often seen. Moon face is a plus...Dial is a bit too roached out for my taste but overall a good watch at a fair price...IMO.

"roached out" - never heard that expression before, but I agree with your assessment, and it's just become my new favorite phrase! 👍

Cant claim credit for that one.... "American Pickers" on History Channel. I like the term too.
