Bible says......Legit. Personally its an ugly dial style. but.....What are those perimeter screws doing there in the movement shot?
It's build your own watch time. Looks like someone got his hands on some NOS pieces and made a few Franken's.
How much of this is original? An early case with a later movement? Presumably also a redial as the printing looks scruffy? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1930s-gold-universal-geneve-watch-sandwich-dial/182560661011Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Case and movement don't belong together, subdial hands wrong, certainly a redial... Well, at least, the box looks UG genuine but unfortunately is not included on the sale...
Pretty much everything here is just wrong. Stay far away. If you just like the piece to wear that's one thing, but it is not an example to collect! Cheers, A.
Hi All, Sorry to be back to this theme/watch, but I found on internet several UG tri-compax ref 12296 and all of them them have the "screws" on the case. Base on your previous comments I believe this is not common on UG, but specifically for this reference can this be considered normal? Thanks https://www.mentawatches.com/product/universal-geneve-oversized-tri-compax/ http://www.europeanwatch.com/23793.html http://www.invaluable.com/auction-l...i-compax-,-case-no.-1468014,-464-c-29f4ce1a39
Thoughts on this? Seems like the hour hand was replaced. https://www.coolvintagewatches.com/very-cool/vc12
