Universal Geneve triple date moon phase help

I’m interested in triple date moon phase and have found this one.

The owner has also sent me the attached photo and says he has owned the watch for 40 years and rarely used it, but that it is in good working condition.
The serial number looks strange to me, does this look like a good buy to you?
Are there any questions I should ask the seller?

Tend to think redial with swiss made, but looks exceptional !

This looks like one of the triple date watches sold under the Martel/Mervos brand. Probably this is what the watch looked like originally:

Seems like someone took such a watch and put the Universal branding on it to get a better price. Other examples like this have been

Exactly! You can see these Martel branded (and I think other brands as well maybe) mid sized 35mm gold plated examples around. I think the Martel branded options, if completely original, are not a bad cheaper option. However in the OP example it's not even the original (non UG) dial any longer, it's just junk.

I assume you will not find any UG stamping on the case, and I would also assume you will not find any UG marking on the mvmt, although presumably it's a cal 291 or similar.

OP watch also has wrong running seconds hand, too short.

So it’s a UG mvmt but not UG case and the dial is no good plus some other stuff, it has no value other than for mvmt, forget about this one and move on.....

As a general rule I would expect Swiss, however I have not done a comprehensive study to understand if variations are possible. Perhaps best to consider specific examples?

Thanks, that would be my first thought as well. I'm specifically talking about the example below, a 21301, which seems to be missing the SWISS but would it be possible it's located out of sight below the bezel?
