I’ve always found this one so pure and stunning - not mine, credit @jojolamontre.

HPC no less, would curios to see what's under the hood.......

I missed this one by a few days on the original auction site and it's haunted me ever since.

I sympathize.
That’s happened to me too. One month ago even, I missed by two days a stunning watch sold for a bargain BIN.
Or even there are auctions on which I neglected to bid as I thought they would go too high and then the watch sold for much cheaper than I expected.

I’d like to add this snazzy little linen-dial number recently trawled from the ‘Bay. The serial places this watch to around 1964 and it has calibre 800 inside.

The 28mm case is very fine indeed and the watch feels almost weightless on the wrist. Here it is in my sausage fingers for scale;

Brucie bonus: the watch even came on a UG branded strap with buckle. A rare occurrence these days and a very nice surprise indeed.

This thread has made me want a tank watch even more. So many beautiful watches shows that we have to think out of the circle 😉

Wow, nice, did it come with the strap and buckle or are they your own upgrades?

Thank you. The strap and buckle were on the watch when I opened the jiffy bag. The strap has been lightly worn and I'm not going to change it.

Like many reading, perhaps, I have many NOS UG straps with buckles I have collected over the years just sitting in boxes. It feels great to be able to finally wear one without worrying I have spoiled it (I know, I know....🤨)
