Razor sharp case edges, original crown and a pristine dial for an absolute steal of a price. Very bad pictures of the seller scared many people off I guess but I was really lucky.

·Thank you very much @yvrclimber ! I will have it serviced at my watchmaker as I don't know the previous service history and I'll need to find a nice strap for it. Then its good to go, I am very glad to have found such a great example in immaculate, all original condition. 😎

·@Meya if you are on IG, there is a #ferroviefriday hashtag a few avid UG FS collectors have used. If you want to find others with an interest, advice, photos, etc. Not super active, but it's a path.

·I've been chatting to somebody who is looking to secure a Mk2 and we eventually got around to the subject of parts availability. The calibre 64 is notably missing from Ranfft and the Bestfit catalogue. I've found a couple of sources that seem to suggest that the calibre 64 is similar to the calibre 1200 but don't see anything conclusive.

Obviously this could just be someone stating a supposition that then gets repeated elsewhere on the internet as fact.
I've been lucky that I've not needed spares for my pair but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has tried cannibalising a 1200.
