I just reached the 200 post requirement to be able to post a for-sale listing, so this is my first one. I purchased this watch from another OF member in 2022, and wore it sparingly since then, so it is still in the same condition. Selling it as tastes have changed, trying to consolidate a bit and this one just doesn't get the wear it deserves.
This reference has a very cool history tied to it - The FS stands for Ferrovie dello Stato— The Italian State Railways. From 1960-1970s Universal Geneve FS watches were produced in three iterations (Mk I, Mk II and Mk III) for FS Italian railways workers. Dial: Flawless white enamel dial and original hands.
Case: The case shows signs of wear typical of its age (1972) and appears unpolished. 36mm case (not including the crown), 41mm lug to lug, 19 mm lug width, but can easily take a 20mm strap. 10.3mm thick. Wears very well and can take many different straps. There is a mark on the back of the case where someone attempted to open the case back.
Crown: Replacement crown that functions as it should.
Crystal: Generic crystal is clear and free of scratches.
Movement: Manual wound UG Caliber 64 movement. The previous seller said the movement was serviced in 2022, but I have no evidence above from photos when it was disassembled. Winds as it should and runs well.
Strap: Comes as head only.
Price is $750 shipped CONUS via Paypal F&F. No returns unless grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA (Texas).
