I'm delighted to be able to say I've captured the second, earlier, version.

Seems to be reasonably sharp, good dial and correct crown etc. Here it is with the first acquisition

I also had a quick go at a hand-held macro shot of the dial indices. Here is the cushion case:

    And the new arrival:

Just need to find the right strap for it - I had my heart set on a Sable from Molequin but they've run out.

If there's a third variant (and I think I'm still unconvinced) that should be the next stop,

You know what - I think I do too. I have a loose case for the cushion-version which has been away being re-finished for over a year - when, or if, that ever comes back I'll revisit this conclusion.

The C-case wears quite big and I had to pass mine along to a friend because it just didn't fit right on my wrist.

This one's an oddity given the logo version; if it wasn't for the flaking on the dial I might be interested given that the scrap metal value alone on the accompaniment would stand to offset the asking price by a fair bit (I think this is on its 4th or 5th auction).

Hi All - Really interested in the 36mm version. Besides ebay is there any other website I should keep watching for a decent piece?

The sales forum here of course. Or ask one of us nicely - my 34mm version is not for sale.

I'm in a similar boat -- I did not realize these existed either until a few weeks ago. Now I am keeping my eyes open for a first generation. I think they are more common in Europe than in the US, so I have not seen many for sale since i started looking.

I'd say if you're looking for an Italian RR watch then ebay.it might be the best starting point.

What a great thread! Just purchased one and it is on the way over from Italy but, in the meantime, was looking for some strap inspiration! Would anybody be willing to share some of the straps they've put on this watch? Really looks like a strap monster.

I think they look great on virtually any strap.

Prices have gone up over the past year and availability down, I sometimes see ppl asking crazy prices now for these, they are definitely more popular

Nice looking strap, definitely thinking a chestnut/light brown like that and obviously a black one as well. Probably steering clear of heavily padded or super thick straps as they kinda mess up the flow of the case and design a bit. That being said I don't have mine in hand yet haha!

Yeah to be honest, I'm late to the party. Randomly read the Most Worn Watches on Hodinkee and saw it was listed twice. Have been thinking about a cushion case 1960s vintage watch and was also looking at some Connies, but the size and railroad heritage won out for me on this one.

black and brown have been my go to. I like it very much on black as well, this is already in the thread earlier some where but here's a repeat on black strap....

Does anyone know where to get a replacement crystal for the 36mm?

    Appreciate the help.

Ugh, this pics are killing me. These are not so easy to find here in the US.
