I just received my Mark 1, i wonder what the value is? Thanks

Congrats! I got my Mk1 in July, so now I have a matching Mk1/Mk2 set.

Looking at the market, I feel like Mk1 are valued a little higher than Mk2 with both being in the US$450-700 range. Really perfect versions being at the top of that range.

What is your experience?

I think that's about right, if you don't add in dealer premium. I wanted one of those for a long time, but they were going for far more than that for a few years. Finally got one on the way. Think the "hype" surrounding its mention on Hodinkee has finally died down a bit.

I saw that as well - they had the Hodinkee hit - but that seems to have settled down.

Mine came back from the watch maker today. Didn’t have any history for it and wanted to make sure it got a service if required.

turns out it is clean , nicely oiled and runs extremely well as the time grapher shows.

Excellent! Those are some decent readings.

Mine finally arrived from France after a month of being stuck in customs. They got their pound of flesh and I got my Mark II 😀

Looks sporty with the nylon strap, a look I hadn’t considered. I dig it! Congratulations on your new watch.

Very pleased to acquire this Mark I from earlier in the thread from @Scarecrow Boat. I have been fascinated by these watches for years now and have attempted to buy inferior examples. I’m glad now that I was unsuccessful. This is the first time I’ve been able to get the very watch I had specifically admired even before it was for sale. I can’t tell you how enjoyable it is to see that actual watch on my wrist now.

It might be the enamel dial, but the ticking of this watch has a distinct reverberant tone, like it’s echoing off the dial.

Reminds me of another railway watch, the Citizen Homer, which I got a few years ago, stamped with the year before I was born and a defunct railroad near me. Similarly stark all-business designs with decorative touches that place them in a bygone era.

Congratulations on your patient success. Such suitable companions, those 2 railroad watches. 😀

Hi, I'm new so have probably posted incorrectly (forgive me please). I've been looking for an UG FS1 for some time and found this on ebay for around 380€ - is it acceptable or best left?
