If you look at the size of the top and bottom lug chamfers, that picture is not taken dead on - I'd put it down to some sort of refraction.
yes is correct too
congratulations you are very careful collectors ...

Hi all, I’m the owner of the UG FS MK1 that is presented in Roberto’s book. Roberto sold me this watch after taking the pictures for his book, and it has been with me ever since. Indeed I can confirm that the dial must be misplaced since it doesn’t show the “Swiss Made” letters. As you can see in the pictures, the minute marks go right until the edge of the dial and there is no space between the minute marks and the border of the dial. So, no Roberto, there is no refraction here. Did you notice the dial was misplaced before you sold it to me? I’m taking the watch to my watchmaker in order to see if he can place the dial properly. When I have some news, I’ll get back to you.
Meanwhile, I guess you should release a 2nd edition of the book with a proper picture of the MK1, right?
Best regards to all.

yes is correct
Additionally, you sold me the watch as fully original, so I don’t really understand why you’d say that it has the wrong crystal and the wrong retaining ring. Any explanation for that?

after you see the watchmaker contact me...
best regards
I’ll get in touch once I have news, for sure. Meanwhile, could you explain why you were saying the watch doesn’t have the correct crystal and retaining ring?
Grazie,
Diogo

The retaining ring is likely covering the SWISS/SWISS MADE marking. This is a fairly common occurrence.

the glass has an armored metal ring could be that. sorry but you don't remember your watch specifically but if I sold it to you, you think there are no problems with originality. if I have any doubts, no problem I'll take my watch back. I always try to please the customers. I am also a collector. I am not a dealer. however we hear the watchmaker.

The tension ring is covering it up. You can clearly see it is thick. My ug fs has a thinner ring so you can see it more easily. When you visit the watchmaker you will see the swiss right where it belongs.

universal was not the only one making watces for ferrovie dello stato. Often faked but still a great alternative to ug.

As the Perseo watches go, what does anybody think of this one for $84 shipped? It's marked FS on the back and the bracelet clasp is marked with Perseo too.

Hi
Dial isn’t correct. I think it is fake. Bracelet marked it is easy to find. Have you see movement? Colour like gold or bronze? I need more photo.
Ciao

There was a FS watch, a C case Universal Geneve, sold by a New York seller on ebay for £1200 a month or so ago, very well presented but a surprising price nevertheless.
