I have seen the fat U crowns on some, but I guess they are replacementsi since I have seen the capital U in all the three versions of the watch. Buy still open to new ideas.

V1 and V3 today 😀

I have seen many watches and I have seen many different crowns. I had trouble finding the original crown. Still nn I was unable to understand what the original crown is. I learned that this crown must be very wide, thin and in harmony with the case. The crown is not dustproof, the U is well marked. But I found these characteristics in many crowns. So finding the original is difficult. It is fortunate to find a universal original.

This is a fantastic thread on a very interesting RR watch. I was wondering if anyone had tried to see if an Omega bracelet from a C cased constellation might fit on one of these UG C cased RR watches? The Omega head links might be a great fit. If so the combo would look real cool to wear like that.

Thanks for the original very informative post. I knew nothing about these and it gives me something else to look for when next in Italy.

Shouldn't this be in the sticky threads please mods?

I'm not so sure. I may be a lone voice but I'd prefer that UG FS didn't become a "thing" until I've got a Mk 3 (and a 7 digit special).

totaly agree these should stay under the radar until i get a first series. Second series on the way and a 7 digit already in the collection.

I understand what you guys are saying, its actually getting harder to find them. And I dont know the forum rules and conditions for a thread to become sticky, but would that make any difference?

The watch was hodinkee pick of 2019 for two staff members. A month ago appeared on Eric Wind's wrist. On the week after two MK2 were sold for 800$ in and off eBay. This weekend the newsletter shared the info on this thread wide open. We see more and more collectors with them. Isnt it already "a thing", are they still under the radar? Not sure....

It seems that some MK3 have this fat U crown. Maybe changed somewhere along the line?

This one came with a MK3 with serial above 115000. It seems another version of the fat U. Not sure this is original.

Yes, thats correct. And its not enamel. And the Numbers are applied. And concentric subdial.

My second series has some consentric sircles in the enamel. Seven digit prototype's have the second series crown instead of the fat u.

Whats is the highest and lowest serial you have found on MK3 @perseo66 ? My guess is that there are more than 2000...

Are you sure? Can we get a close up of the subdial?
