Scarecrow Boat
··Burt Macklin, FBIHi OF,
As I transition my collection focus into vintage dive watches, I painfully list my UG FS Mk2 for sale.
If you are not familiar with this reference, there is a fun thread discussing them, here:

I own the Mk1 reference as well and purchased the Mk2 to complete the set and while it was fun to do that, it isn't a piece I often wear, so I am okay letting it go to fund something else.
This is one of the cleaner examples I have seen with a flawless white enamel dial. The 36mm case (not including crown) wears very comfortably and even larger than it suggests. My wrist in the above and below images is 7". The case shows signs of wear but that is expected with a watch from ~'72. The case appears unpolished apart from wear as it retains its sharp edges and shape. The crystal is clear and damage free. The crown is a replacement but functions as it should. Someone at some point in time unfortunately struggled to get the caseback off but the serial number and neat FS engraving are well preserved. The movement has been serviced this year ('22) and the only proof I can offer is the disassembled image that was shared by the watch maker. The movement winds as it should and runs well. It also comes with the original caseback spring, which I have frequently seen missing. I don't have a timegrapher nor am I going to try to create an estimate, but it does keep time well. The lug width is 19mm but easily takes 20mm, which all the straps shown in this listing are 20mm. This is sold as head only. No returns unless grossly misrepresented.
The watch and I are located in Northern California. Shipping within CONUS is free with an additional $30 for International. I am asking $750 via PP F&F.

These pictures were taken with my cell phone through a loupe under soft box lighting, which I feel emphasized the wear on the watch. This watch really sings in natural light, which are the wrist shots at the end of the listing. The white dial really allows for a wide variety of strap colors.
The FS Mk1 obviously not included 😀 But this shows just how clean and white the Mk2 dial is. Also, I thought the caseback looks better in natural light.
Thank you for looking and making it this far.
