I think is good to be known by UG fan guys to clearly attest that this bezel is an authentic UG bezel, service but authentic

Do UG then resell your used bezel on EBay?

Maybe, the chances are that they refurbish the bezel you have sent in with a replacement insert and then sell it with a massive price tag. I dont think it is a bespoke produced insert, my guess is that it is a readily available (no accent on tachy) and is being adapted to the old UG bezel. Not that hard to do ...

I would not be at all surprised if it was a standard speedy replacement turned down to fit!

not wishing to hijack this fascinating thread (i'd love to know if the OP ever sold that insert), i've often wondered about who actually made these inserts originally. surely it wasn't UG or Omega, rather the work was subcontracted to an agent (such as for lume application, etc)?
they look so similar (almost identical fonts, layout, etc) it's surely the work of a single firm..?

Only God know who fabricated those bakelite bezels,
winning a lottery is more easy.
I one day I will be so lucky to find the source, I will post it.

Well, I have only been looking for a blue 1960s compax bezel since 2009. I recently (in 2015) expanded the search to any 60s compax or tri-compax moon bezel. The closest i got to finding something, was an old battered one that had dings and dents with scale that was hardly readable for £2500.00 ... I gave it a miss hoping that at some point within the next 20 years, something would come up (and i am beginning to regret it).

The author of the “UG Ten” book estimates a few hundred of each Exotic variation were made (blue dial and silver dial, 885107 & 885108), at most. Of these, a couple dozen of each seem to be known today in circulation/collections. Mine (885108) below, with the teal bezel.

These guys sell aftermarket inserts and bezel for the Clapton which I assume (but am not 100% sure) will work on the Nina as well.

I've personally bought a replacement crystal for my Evil Clapton (the one it came with was cracked) and it fit like a glove.
