Hey all,

I'm looking for a nice vintage chrono and have been scanning all the available about these uni compax models on the forum the last days. I came across this 12445 reference model and find it very interesting.
The dial has faded quite a lot but I do not seem to find any things that are not original with the little knowledge I have.
I thought maybe some of you could be able to give an opinion?
Would definitely help me out a lot.

Thanks in advance!

it would help to know the case reference and serial and size.

Seller says it's 34mm, and serial seems 1159952 on the case back

I would guess it's 34-35mm

Case looks to be fair soft on the front lugs, not surprising with gold

Is it rose gold or yellow gold?

Do you have a shot of the crown?

I don't see any red flags really, just comes down to price and how much you like it. This is a mid grade example IMO, you don't want to overpay. And in the long run, you may prefer to wait and spend a bit more to get better condition.

Thanks for the quick reply!
Added a shot of the side where you can see the crown fairly decent.

To be honest I didn't really track these watches until recently and don't have a very good idea about what price range to aim for with these. That makes it a tough call. I've searched all over but not that many prices to compare with really.

Looks like a later crown, original should be unsigned. Not the end of the world

rose gold or yellow gold?

seller should be giving you a price? or do you have to come up with a number?

Okay great to know that about the crown!

Yellow gold, Seller sitting around 1.6K EUR at the moment. Seems high to me.

Maybe a bit high, I think it’s more a question of how much you love it

I'd spend something more to have a better dial.
Maybe a lot more to have great conditions as well, but it's up to you in the end.

There is a later Uni Compax in yellow gold for sale on this forum in the classifieds for a few hundred more Euros in superb condition. Check it out. I also believe that you can acquire a much nicer watch by pushing your budget a little bit.
