Well we're finally home after 33 hours straight on a coach, three planes, a train (CDG TF9 to T1 😉), and finally a taxi home.

Worst part was travelling with a cold that some inconsiderate bastard inflicted us with while on the ship. I lost my voice for three days and just starting to talk again, Annie is more resilient than me due to her public transport resistivity so I hope she perks up in the next day or two.

Anyway, enough whining, on to more pleasant things.

Our holiday was relaxing, interesting and enjoyable. Paris was a magic city to explore (especially the Breguet Museum🥰) and we spent many hours just walking in some of the beautiful gardens.

Our trip to Bordeaux was also a great success. We enjoyed cycling all around the city and seeing the old city and it's interesting streets and buildings. Our tours to the vineyards were another highlight of the holiday, I've never seen so many vines!

Due to having such a good time and spending too much evening time in the ship's lounge, and flaky internet connections, I didn't get to post as often as I should have.

However, all is not lost, we have 2,300 photographs to show 😁

I'll start with a watch related shot.

A glorious evening at Château de Champlâtreux, once again wearing the Omega 620.

Well, not strictly my wife in the traditional sense, but definitely all that a bloke could wish for as a partner in life.

She may be small but makes up for it with brains, personality, determination and most importantly, the ability to put up with me and my "watch fetish".

I think I'm one lucky man.

Good to see that you had a safe (long) trip back home, and that you survived the chemical warfare experience of your co-travellers. Did you manage a couple of wine testing sessions in the Bordeaux area?
Take care,
Yann

What, something like this? 😁

An evening at Château Giscours, what better way to sample their wine?

Quite a reasonable red 😉

And one for the watch tragics.

In addition to the tasting and dinner at Château Giscours, we had a previous tasting of various regions at one winery, and then a visit to Château Phélan Ségur where we saw the whole production side of the winery, from harvesting to barrelling, followed by an extensive tasting accompanied by some superb hors-d'oeuvre which were matched to the wine.

I'm already homesick for France 🙁

The guy leaves Oz as a Foster's poster boy and comes back home a sommelier!
Annie is having a terrible influence on the old boy, wonder what the other 10,000 pictures will reveal?
Have hardly seen a stinkin' watch!

It's one of those spinning propeller bow ties Geo. The high speed of the camera shutter caught it mid-revolution.

😗

(I can't be perfect ALL of the time 😁 )
