All those shops and no watch? I admire your restraint. My first Speedy came from Contretemps. Could have been my first Tri Compax but he was adamant that servicing would be difficult in USA. Passionate guy indeed.

Mmmmm...the watches that I liked had crazy price tags...!

And Jean-Yves knew a lot about Omega, he told me that his great grandfather was the Kings watchmaker,
the fellow in the painting that I posted!

Very impressive!

I got a good deal on an imperfect but cool 2998-6. Still love that watch. “Don’t go to the beach with this watch. In fact don’t even think about the beach while wearing this watch.” He’s quite a character.

I saw now that Jean-Yves can be seen in the reflection of the Speedmaster poster.
He dresses and talks like a real Frenchman, a true gentleman!
