I should mention the rubber strap is thick, certainly in comparison to the Seamaster 300M on rubber. The 300M is also more flexible and the rubber has a softer or supple feel to it. The UD strap is less flexible, both due to the thickness and also, I think, a design choice by Omega attempting to mimick a dive suit material look and feel.

You said the rubber strap is thick, which I think looks great on the watch. I ordered my watch on the bracelet. However, I'm also going to order the rubber strap. I understand that it is less flexible. However, is it comfortable right out of the box, as most rubber straps are, or do you think it would benefit from a break in period?

Yes, I think it's comfortable out of the box. I was more speaking to the difference between the tactile feel of the 300M rubber strap and this one. Both are comfortable, but differ in thickness and the feel of the rubber.
