Makes perfect sense To do it during the biggest financial crisis the world has ever seen due to pandemic. Next they will be cutting supply to third parties like Jomoshop to sell with discounts. As wonderful as they are and all the advancements made with materials and movements over the last 10 or so years Rolex they ain’t nor will they ever be.

From what I read in an earlier thread that discussed this topic, the price increase was attributed to the decline in the purchasing power of the pound, the pound has depreciated substantially over the last five years against the Swiss Franc and the Euro.

Will the price increase affect US pricing? I know they recently raised their prices this past year, but still how much can they charge now for them? The one thing I will say that Omega has going for them is the Bond tie-in but even then it’s super exclusive and limited I guess

I doubt it, but as of late Omega has been increasing prices for their latest limited edition/production watches, there does seem to be a trend here but their standard line of watches I dont think will change much in price.

Has anyone noticed there's a noticeable shortage in second hand Speedy Pros as well as availability of Speedy Pros and modern Seamaster Pros?

That’s the “one thing” Omega has going for them...really?! I don’t even think its any of the things Omega has going for them.

So, a price increase appears on the cards in September, just before the 'announcement' related to the Snoopy Award celebration in October...

I'm guessing an upsurge in sales for a new Snoopy LE and if not, settling for a 1861 Moonwatch at the new RRP, not that I'm cynical 😗 😉

Everyone wants to be Rolex. Even the CEO of Patek admitted that in an interview 😀

Nothing makes me cringe more than the rap songs with either Rolex in the title, Rolex all over the lyrics at any given chance or an overly long close-up of some diamond encrusted Submariner on a guys wrist.

They literally never do it with any other brand, it's always Rolex.

AP and Patek pop up a bit too. Always have. Richard Mille more recently in the last few years...
And not so much anymore but 10+ years ago Jacob & Co was pretty popular.
