·For me personally, it's a watch that I thought was gorgeous in the pictures and was really underwhelmed when I tried it on in person. It's very light which is nice, the strap is very comfortable but the dial was, to me, uninteresting and to be honest the vintage style crystal was irritating on a modern watch. I have a vintage Constellation so I'm not opposed to the reflections on something of the period, but on a modern watch it bothered me and affected legibility from different angles.
So take the uninteresting dial, the fake vintage legibility and lack of date complication and it added up to something which looked and felt less than the regular Seamaster. Then you look at the tag and I felt like it was asking far too much. Poor value for money in my view. For anyone that plays guitar it's like a Les Paul special whereas the regular Seamaster is a Les Paul Standard. Nice, but not equal.
