Dear OF members,

Just received this tank but I have some doubts about the dial. Do you think it is legit, or do you think it could be a redial? Any comments would be very helpfull.

Thanks in advance

I would lean towards redial but I find these UG tanks some of the most difficult to evaluate so I could be wrong.

Thanks for your feedback. May I ask what makes you lean towards redial?

Given its spread, originating from the corners and even affecting the hands, I'd wager mold.

And its consistent with humidity stains on the edges.

The seconds sub dial in particular does not feel like 30s fonts to me. It's just a feeling, I have not researched this one compared to other examples.

Yes, the subdial seems to be the main question mark. I have heard arguments for and against.

Against: the usual subdial design follows a squarish/rectangular look. We find that in most examples and in some adverts.

For: although it wasnt the standard choice in doesnt mean per se that it is not original. For instance the Cabriolet had round subdials.
