·Long story short...
11 years ago - in 2013, I got to buy a stash of NOS or close to NOS UG parts. This case and dial was part of it:
A month or two later I found a donor watch at a local auction (Sweden). Bad pics and description made it cheap. It was the equivalent of 200 USD.
Got it home and it was in a very nice condition. Used but not abused. My plan changed to getting another donor as this was too good to slaughter.
Last month I finally left it at the watchmaker for a sympathetic service.
Such a nice "honest" watch.
This one (16mm) was in the stash too - not right but better than a generic.
Case and dial still needs a donor though... sooo - the time line has no end.
