Two vintage Longines

Dear All,

I am the owner of two vintage Longines since a few years.

The first one is from 1953, a nice looking vintage, charming, classical, diameter 34mm. The watch has been overhauled, is working fine, very accurately.

The second one is a Jamboree from 1966,, very nice as well, movement 280. Has been serviced, works fine, very accurately.

But as you may have noticed, the bezel is missing ! It is not obvious at first glance, at least I did not see it ! The seller had not mentioned the missing bezel in his listing !
Not really classy !

Since then I am looking for this bezel … to no avail ! I looked (and continue to look) on Ebay.be, Ebay.com and tried RforB posts here, on WUS, on Chronomania .. etc .. + a couple of watches shows and several specialized websites for spare parts ..
I requested Longines but they do not have this bezel anymore … they made a proposal though to produce the bezel on special order… but it would cost more than 1,600.00 € . An amount I cannot contemplate since it would not be reasonable for a watch that ,if in good shape, is valued at 3 or 400.€

Perhaps, one of these days I will be lucky ..! who knows ..
Thank you for your attention,

Good morning. Keep on looking. Patience is a big part of watch collecting. I have some projects that have taken me years upon years to find the correct parts for. I have a few current projects that I've been looking for parts for at least five or six years. I use saved searches on Ebay and check them once a month.
