Barn finds, goodwill finds, car boot finds, couch cushion finds , eccentric old lady. Now from a “grumpy” dad.
I found a quarter once.

Any
recommendations for servicing in California? Bay Area?

thanks
As others have already commented, the one on the left looks to be an all-original Ultraman (with a messed up bracelet with no end links and some lume missing from the dial, especially on the 1 o'clock marker).
The one on the right is a 90's Speedmaster that appears to have never been opened (red wax seal is still present).

If you are planning on keeping these as a family heirloom and want to service them locally in Nor. Cal, Worldtime in San Jose is the only place to go. Keep in mind servicing these will not be cheap (especially the one on the left). You'll probably have to spend a couple of grand between the two.

If you don't mind sending them out (not far, only to So. Cal.) LA Watchworks is the place to go. (Prices will be somewhat lower, job quality will be the same).

If you are planning to sell, best to just leave them as-is and let the buyer do whatever they choose.
You will need to get an Extract From The Archives from Omega (at least for the left one) in order to maximize its potential.

First I would want to find out what references these watches bear before deciding what to do next.

I would take these watches to the nearest Omega Boutique, have them open the case back, obtain the serial number and get an Extract Of The Archive for each.

And take a lot of pictures - front, back, side, movement, case back, etc ... for the rest of us on OF ...

IMO, an extract will not be necessary for the one on the right. Just a waste of $150.

Thank you.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm not planning on selling. Would just like to get them running well and pass them along to my kids some day.

The market for the Ultraman is relatively strong right now and that watch is worth enough to help with college tuition, but it may not stay that way forever. The other one is just a nice watch to wear.

For what i know about the Ultraman, it is an Ultraman if the Extract say so and it would be a good jump in value.

My advice, whatever you wanna sell them or not, is to have the watches serviced by a pro.

Btw, good to know there is another OF in the area👍

The one on the left is quite valuable, most people hate them on here because they will never own one 😁😁😁

Rate these are popping up nearly everyone will own one soon ::stirthepot::

Doubtful 😁

I haven't seen that many Ultraman with an extract that say so ( which is in the end, the only way to know if one is the real deal) 🙄

Even if you have no intention to sell, a good determination of realistic value will be a great tool for insurance purpose and for determining when the young'ns would be ready.

WOW! nice watches 😀
The right one seems to be never opened.. It's an original wax seal?

Not wax - it's model paint.
