No, and if you like I can post the emails to you when I discovered. It is irrelevant any way as the watch was dismantled and reassembled after I sent it back to you for rectification, which is when the damage obviously occurred. I notice you haven't commented about knowing about the movement in the 2998-4 beforehand.

not all the details that after you crop in red in pvt email (but this is not the problem)

---

I don't know what you've done with the caseback...

I told to the forum all that has happened properly

but you're putting me in a bad light as a bad seller - and I don't accept this - I know what I sell

I have nothing to hide and to have fear

I meant you didn't have to break the case back but it was broken when I received the watch and it wasn't me that broke it.

If you do not want to be seen as a bad seller please offer a solution to the problem.

Gentlemen.

While we understand that you guys have an issue with a transaction could i kindly ask you to keep the conversation private from now on.

As a forum people don't want to see other members 'publicly bash' each other and as you know its not how this forum works.

Thank you.

The way things are going I don't think there is going to be a final outcome any time soon.
I wish I could think that I would be as patient if the same thing happened to me.
Do not let it drop.

I'm really not sure its in Barking Mad's interest to keep future correspondence private

BM shielded the seller's details from us for several weeks, in good faith, hoping to get a positive resolution, but unfortunately this didn't get him anywhere

Sending this dispute underground again, may not be the answer

We can all judge whats gone on here - and what side of this particular fence we sit

Lets hope BM gets the outcome he wants, Matteo can then rebuild his reputation, and this great forum can start to do what it does best - discuss watches in fine and comprehensive detail

Folks this is not going to be completion with people taking sides and rooting for their favourite. I think Darren's instructions were both polite and clear. Further conversations between the parties will be taken elsewhere. Do not encourage otherwise. If you want details or wish to interject, contact the principals privately.

Thank you all for taking it into the open. I think it's good to have both sides of the story as have been presented here. At this point, in my opinion, I don't think it can be concluded one way or the other who's at fault as there's not enough evidence and there are possibilities it can go either way. So it all boils down to credibility. Based on what I have read so far, I have my doubts, and I know who I will not be dealing with in the future but I will just keep it for myself out of respect. For now, I just hope the case will be closed happily for both.

Regards,
Tony

It is good to have both sides of a story but when it ends up in a 'slanging match' it does no good for either as other parties get involved and throw their two cents in an could make things worse.

On top of that members are messaging me asking to lock a thread because they don't want to read it any longer.! As a forum we tend not to lock threads like other forums so I requested it be moved to private.

In terms of outcome none of us can or should influence it in terms of pressure, it has to be resolved between both parties and without any one making the two members in question feel like either might be in the wrong.

Remember both members are very well respected and things can go wrong very easily for any member let alone the issue that we have here.

Thx.

No need for a lock... just exercise some restraint with the mouse button.

And don't think of an elephant. 😉

Advertisers would pay MILLIONS for something that forces people to read something.

MILLIONS I say. The admins are really onto something here.

Thank you for not locking it. Those who don't want to read it always have the option to not read it, but those who do want to read or respond don't have that option if it's locked or removed.
