Sorry for being late. I had planned for a new and better picture of this one today but my work day became extremely hectic - not a second to spare. Just came home (23.00 here).

Well - better late than never

It is Turtle Tuesday again! And again - for this tuesday I rely on old merits. But this time it actually has a purpose. At one time I had, what I believe, all known variants/versions of the turtles dials and cases and I took photos of them together.

I have not seen any other than the "white" and the "silver-grey" in steel cases and the two gold versions (the dial is actually made of gold) - let me call them "French" and "English" - in gold cases. Why "French" and "English"? It has to do with the wording and spelling - French = Chronometre Zenith Automatic and the English = Zenith Automatic Chronometer. Well, the norm is the "French" as there is only one "English" known. It was mine until I sold it to a collector here in Sweden. I still have the photos, though, of what has to be the biggest gathering of different turtles since they where separated at birth (and yes I anticipate a lot of pics from Cinderella, Upackmucus and friends)

So fellow turtle lovers - are there any other kind of dials out there?

Disregard the El Primero...concentrate on the good looking turtles instead...

Wow... just wow! Thanks for the group shot - it cleared up the questions I had on the varients out there. The first thought that came to my mind when I saw the 4 turtles - TMNT and you being the wise old Sensei Splinter! Haha, tells u something about which generation I come from. 😗

Do you still have the "English"? If so, DIBS!!

Humble pie eaten. Totally forgot the white gold version. Strange that I forgot - as I know I have some pictures of a white one in my old computer. The one I have pictures of - uses another version of the white gold de luxe dial than the above. Found this (pic stolen/borrowed on the net) just now and I think it is similar with what I have seen before:

OK - any other versions I might have forgot?
