·I did the math. It took a leisurely 8.5 seconds (timed with my you-know-what) to toggle off the email setting on a post. At my posting rate and estimating half are first posts to threads, Ash will be saving me 2.2 minutes a month. A few months of that savings was just wasted on this post and a few more lost by Ash making the change. Hopefully, this year will see a time savings when all said and done.

··Steve @ ΩFYeah, I can't find anything in settings to prevent following by default. Whenever I reply to a thread, or edit one of my own posts, I have to refresh the page so the "follow" link changes to an "unfollow" link, and click that. Is it possible to opt in to following? I also can't find the setting to not send emails to followed threads by default. In fact preventing emails is the only reason I unfollow in the first place.
