I purchased a tudor snowflake sub a while back and sent it in for a restoration. It has been 3 months and isn't back yet. Is this a normal time frame?

Depends on what it needed and where you sent it. You really haven't given enough information to say more.

Generally speaking, bench time is a small fraction of the total turnaround. Some shops are far better at managing workflow than others. I generally ask my watchmaker to tell me when to send it so it isn't sitting around somewhere for months until he gets to it.

If a part is needed, especially one not easyily sourced, that can add to the turnaround time too.

I have sent subs and gmt masters to my local ad who has a watchmaker and turn around is usually a month. This one needed polishing, buffing a bezel insert, new crystal and a few more things.

Maybe ask the people you sent it to what they are doing and what the status is? Or are you asking something different?
