Have been debating entering the vintage Tudor Sub market...

What is everyone's opinion of this one?

Looks to have been polished.

Not sure how natural the patina on the dial looks either.

Is it a 79090 or 79190? For sure it’s polished. Regarding the dial it’s very difficult to say only based on low resolution pics. Do you trust the seller and what has he to say? When it comes to vintage buying the seller is as important as buying the watch.

Actually a 75090 - 35mm.

From an online seller in Japan I have no history with; so not sure of their history.

75090 is 36mm. With the polishing and the questionable pics to determine the dial, I’d call it a pass.

I don’t think the pictures are the best to give a better opinion on the dial & bezel , but the case has definitely been polished . Here’s my 79090 for comparison on the insert & dial colours .

I actually think it’s probably original and not manipulated. I don’t think there is a huge market to use redials and Franken parts for the 36mm ones.

There is another one for sale on wannabuyawatch.com that looks very similar

i wouldn’t use wannabuyawatch as any great benchmark. That’s been discussed on this forum many times.
