I don't particularly see these selling above rrp in a few weeks/months.

It's generally WIS that are going nuts over them rather than joe public, so once they properly start becoming available demand isn't going to outstrip supply.

Just picked it up. First one to leave Torneau in SF. It’s basically perfect. Don’t see this coming off the wrist for a while.... at least a few days 😀

I’ll share more thoughts/first impressions over the weekend.

First in line at a local AD(not the sharpest tool in the biz) still thinking noone has the 58 in the US.
I told him about the release and all I got was “we’ll look into it” text.
So I told him I’ll stop by, thinking I’ll have a friendly chat and some updates, but got a text “that(me stoping by at the dealer) won’t do anything”.
The day I pick up the 58 will be the last day with them.

I looked at the BBs several times before finding the ETA. The reduction in thickness from the in house may not look like much on paper but combined with the flat back just looked much better on my wrist. The rose, smiley face, etc are more interesting to me as well. The in house movement seemed to sit about 3mm higher and that was too much for my wrist.
If I had known about the 58 last winter I may have hesitated but I picked up one of the last new black ETAs I could find. After all I have the 38-40mm divers pretty much covered as that is my preferred size range.

Why give them your business at this point?

I would drive as much as 100 miles to another dealer who was more charming...and give THEM my business...even if it cost a bit more. I stopped doing business with a dealer who was this rude...and his prices seemed reasonable! All the best dealers WANT me to come in to see if anything else interested me.

Well I (believe) am first one on the list and if I do take it else where I am afraid I wont get it anytime soon. The payment was made in full on the day of their preview event when everyone was interested in the GMT.

You already paid the entire deposit up front?! 😵‍💫 So they have your money and they're still giving you the runaround?

That would just leave a sour taste in my mouth even after I received the watch. And people wonder why no one shops at ADs anymore...

@Ssunnylee24 Well there you go! Congrats. All is forgiven I suppose. 😜
So, I saw the guy who texted me and he didnt even bother saying “hi” at the store. Hes a young guy likely to be related to the store owner.

Arrived 2 days ago in Texas

Perfect proportion for my wrist.
I owned ETA BBN and sold it since it was too big/bulky.
When they released IN-HOUSE BBN with 2mm thicker case, it was a clear NO for me.

But this BB58 is just perfect 😎 👍

PS: Tudor BB Dimension Comparison
