It would be a marketing faux-pas, a complete disaster. He would wear Rolex again if had to go that route.
Ah the James Bond argument. Haha.

I don’t know about that argument - he’s worn Rolex, Omega, TAG, Seiko, Hamilton, and Gruen. I think a Tudor could stand proud amongst those.

If I wasn't hunting an Omega Seamaster 300, it would be my next purchase. Tudor has come a long way.

The Harrods one is a Black Bay but not a 58. As the 58 model has become more popular I wouldn’t be shocked if this was the year they finally pulled the plug on the full size Tudor Harrods. But the 58 is a night and day difference as a watch.

My mistake - you’re right! With the success of the BB58 and the Harrods edition colorway I can see Tudor releasing this

What’s not to understand? It’s like saying you don’t understand why some people shop at GAP instead of Banana Republic. Tudor was one of Rolexes many sub-brands aimed at a different market sector. In the case of a Tudor submariner - it’s a Rolex submariner with a different dial and movement (and handset depending on the reference).
Now, movement quality-wise, that’s an interesting conversation. I don’t know my Omega history well enough but when did they switch from a modified ETA to in-house, distinct movements in the SM’s? Tudor also recently made this switch. While Omega is clearly a few years ahead, to me it looks like both are doing the same thing, no?

^ Tudor is taking risks and with better availability and reasonable prices more people are coming into the watch tent because of it. Tudor has been having great momentum

Are we really speculating on what a fictional character might or might not wear?

According to the 100 rules of watch collecting, not watchmaking.

Rule #007: Would James Bond ever wear this brand? If the answer is yes, then it's worth collecting. If no, then it's not.

Examples:

Would James Bond ever wear Rolex ? Yes, he already has
Would James Bond ever wear Omega ? Yes, he currently does
Would James Bond ever wear Patek ? for sure
Would James Bond ever wear Zenith ? he might
Would James Bond ever wear Breitling ? he might
Would James Bond ever wear AP ? for sure
Would James Bond ever wear Tudor ? NEVER !
He already wore a Breitling Top Time
