Meh. One of the things I really like on the BB58 is the gilt dial, so these white dials don't really do it for me......

I’d be all over the green one.

I'd love to see a blue one, but the ultimate killer would be a 58 GMT.

I like the green as well, although I don’t like the red accents on dial and bezel. Gilt there would be nice!

more muted green (a little less kermit) would be perfect... oh wait...that kinda like the Harrods BB58

Blue dial and blue bezel would be cool.

I rather they fix the crown tube and make the hour hand less comically large. rinse and repeat is not exactly thinking outside the box for tudor. the black bay line is highly derivative.

That's a great shot. I dig the current Tudors, especially the 58s. The new in-house movements do make them a bit bulky but that's a matter of preference.

The Harrods one is a Black Bay but not a 58. As the 58 model has become more popular I wouldn’t be shocked if this was the year they finally pulled the plug on the full size Tudor Harrods. But the 58 is a night and day difference as a watch.

Perhaps.....just perhaps....someone doesn’t have the budget for a Rolex sub but they love the craftsmanship and still want to own, so why shame them for going w the Tudor offering?

Just my two cents, but I think that is clearly one of the reasons for the Tudor offering.

    What's rule #7 of watchmaking?

I like the Tudor lineup, especially the new 58s. I think different enough from the Rolex sub and have their own personality and character. These are great value for the money — and now moving to in-house movements.

What’s not to understand? It’s like saying you don’t understand why some people shop at GAP instead of Banana Republic. Tudor was one of Rolexes many sub-brands aimed at a different market sector. In the case of a Tudor submariner - it’s a Rolex submariner with a different dial and movement (and handset depending on the reference).
Now, movement quality-wise, that’s an interesting conversation. I don’t know my Omega history well enough but when did they switch from a modified ETA to in-house, distinct movements in the SM’s? Tudor also recently made this switch. While Omega is clearly a few years ahead, to me it looks like both are doing the same thing, no?

I think Bond would have - Tudor has a significant military history: https://www.revolution.watch/the-tudor-milsub-part-i-2/
