Tudor 7909 dial question

Hi,
Just purchased this vintage Tudor cal 390 case serial 146 xxx and these normally would have Tudor Oyster Prince on the dial.
This has automatic under the Tudor.
Has any the of members come across this before?

Mine has the "PRINCE OYSTERDATE 34" on it, but I expect is a bit newer than yours. Mine is serial 268191 but I don't know much about the serial numbers and how to date them.

Possibly not, although the watch would be early 50s and Tudor were quite experimental with their dials; much more than Rolex at that time. Have you looked under a loupe to see if there’s any other signs like the dial has been cleaned etc?
