I got the back plate off.. it's interesting how forced vacation will help you innovate. Was extremely careful, used some cloth and needle nose pliers, took it very slow. Success. Take a look, it's a 2577-11 SC

Success! So a 2577-11 on a 12.96m serial. I would personally put that at around 1952, so exactly as expected.

The movement is very clean so there is no water damage which is good news.

these types of "lug-independent" spring-end-piece-fixo-flex-wonders tend to do damage to the lugs.

This one isn't sprung though even the un-spsrung can cause some damage.

Good news about the movement. Some toolmarks, but clean with no corrosion.

Cal. 351. It does not have the swan’s neck regulator.

That's also an interesting caseback, I think.

Hi, Gator,

Granted, but I've seen evidence of 354s with stick regulators before.

Of course, this particular movement could be a hodge-podge, like the three cal 354 rg movements that have made an appearance on the 'net yet never acknowledged by Omega, much less the collector community.

I was asking if it were a cal 351 as Omega's vdb indicates 1949-51 as the years of production with that caliber.

Hope all's well with you; hanging on over here, just a little cabin fever getting us down.

Best,

Art

The OP watch has a 351, you can make it out in the pics. It could be late ‘51, I was estimating using known dated serials hence my fudge with the word ‘around’ or the OVD could be incorrect as it often is.

You think? 😀😜

I’m too busy right now for cabin fever. We still have to do all the computations like normal.

After 4/15 it will set in. Thanks for asking.

Hope the Angels are looking over their City.
