Trouble in 7077 Spring Bars

Hello All!

I have a very niche issue!

Just acquired this gorgeous 2753 constellation with the 7077 bracelet. Everything is amazing on it, but the bracelet seems to be installed backwards.

I went to remove it to swap it around but it seems to use spring bars I've never seen before. Ones with some kind of lever on them (sort of like the quick release we see a lot today).

This would be fine, but it seems like one of the spring bar levers has broken off and the 7077 endlinks don't allow for typical removal.

Any ideas? Also where can I get spring bars like this if and when I get this thing off?

Just use standard quick release spring bars if there's enough play in the end link to remove it by only releasing one end.
You could even use standard double shouldered ones as the gap looks big enough to allow a spring bar tool to be used.
the bracelet seems to be installed backwards.
It's only cosmetic, the previous owner may have had it like that because it made it easier for him to undo the clasp.

This is good advice. Any idea how to get this one out? I can't get between the spring bar and the lugs and without that little lever I don't know how to release the spring bar. Out of ideas. 😬

You may need to drill the broken pin out or drill through the spring bar.
Another option is to use a flat slotting file but I don't thing there's enough space between the lug and the end piece.

Thank you! Sounds like this may be work for a watchmaker. Appreciate the info.

Watchmaker was able to file the spring bar out. Thanks for all the advice. Happy now that I can switch it out the 7077 for a strap if I want. 😀
