Speedmaster 3861 - correct OEM spring bars

Hi everyone,

I have some questions regarding the correct OEM spring bars for my Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 3861.

As I read in the forum, Omega uses:

  • 19 mm spring bars for the steel bracelet (068ST2207)
  • 20 mm spring bars for leather/rubber/NATO straps (068ST2208)

I contacted my local Omega Boutique and received two types of spring bars, but I’m confused about what I got:

  • 068ST2208 - these are 20 mm long and straight. As far as I know, this is the correct part for straps.
  • 068ST2207 - this should be the correct part for the bracelet, but what I received were curved spring bars, which surprised me.

So my questions are:

  1. Is it correct that 068ST2207 refers to straight 19 mm spring bars or is this the part number for the curved spring bar?
  2. What exactly are the curved spring bars used for? I tried it with my Nato Strap and I quite liked the slightly different look.
  3. Can anyone confirm the official Omega part numbers for:
    • 19 mm straight spring bars (for the bracelet)
    • 20 mm straight spring bars (for straps)
    • Curved spring bars (if applicable)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes 2207 is a straight springbar (22,428mm) for 20mm bracelet and 2208 is also a straight springbar (23,317mm) for 20mm straps.

2206 is for 19mm bracelets.

Okay, thank you very much!
Then I think the OB must have mixed something up as I received a "curved" spring bar instead of the straight 2207 for the 20 mm bracelet.

Do you also know the number of the curved spring bar for 20 mm straps?

thanks for the info on the differences on these 2 spring bars as I want to order spares. Looks like both of these are 1.8mm thick.

Do you have the part number for the 16mm Omega deployant clasp that is used on the 3861 rubber straps?

Thanks, I have that clasp, but lost the 16mm spring bar when I was swapping out my red leather band for the OEM black rubber strap. Just want to order one and actually a few from the AD. Sometimes, the AD is clueless unless I give them the P/N.

Partsno on the packaging looks spot on to this number. Your AD should have access to the Omega intranet so ordering the correct springbar shouldn't really be a problem.

2009 for 16mm? Is that right? I have 2006 for 18mm, 2007 for 19mm, 2008 from 20mm. I’m sure it’s right but would have thought 2009 was for 20mm. (Understanding that strap/bracelet crossover applications exist).

Are you talking about the springbar for the deployant clasp or for the lugs, it seems the partsno. for the clasp doesn't follow the same logic as for the lugs?

068ST2009 is the 16mm springbar for the deployant clasp 025STZ007387, sent the info to the AD so should know in a week or 2.
