I hadn't seen any discussion of this watch, Just sold at £165,000 plus 25% premium and VAT (£206,250), without the bezel.

I find the bracelet rather intriguing.
Even MWO is unsure if the spit buckle 7077 was original on 2915s. Sure looks like this one might be.

I’m guessing that the lume has been ‘restored’, as it looks “too good” to my eyes and the black light photo makes it look like a hand applied some of it.

But. I’d yield to any expert here on the question.

Other than that, pretty nice, I think. I’d slap a repro bezel on it for the time being.

I can’t comment on the price paid, other than to imagine how much money I’d have to have in order to feel comfortable wearing a six figure watch.

I doubt very much it would have reached this price if it wasn’t for Phillips auction although if the buyer can lay their hands on an original bezel and clean this up then it might prove to be a good buy.

Personally, I don’t think the split buckle ever came on a 2915.
